"De Ecclesia Christi" est monumentale opus theologicum a Ludovico Billot S.I. conscriptum, quod profundam investigationem naturae et constitutionis Ecclesiae Catholicae praebet. Hoc volumen, in methodo scholastica fundatum, Ecclesiam ut corpus Christi mysticum et societatem perfectam explicat, dogmatica fundamenta unitatis, sanctitatis, catholicitatis, et apostolicitatis perscrutans.

Per paginas huius operis, Billot auctoritatem magisterialem et primatum Romani Pontificis defendit, rationemque inter potestatem ecclesiasticam et civilem secundum ius publicum ecclesiasticum definit. Scriptum summa cura et claritate, hoc opus est fundamentale pro studio theologiae dogmaticae, praebens defensionem solidam fidei catholicae contra errores aetatis modernae.

Valorem historicum et doctrinalem "De Ecclesia Christi" non solum pro eruditis sed pro omnibus qui ecclesiologicalia fundamenta intellegere volunt servat. Est testimonium praeclarum theologiae Romanae saeculi vicesimi, quod sapientiam et rigorem logicum in servitium veritatis christianae ponit. Per hunc tractatum, lector ad plenam cognitionem de mysterio Ecclesiae eiusque missione divina adducitur.
