They're writing a love story, not falling in love...right?

When aspiring writer Dorothy Harris rescues a stranger from a spider in Times Square, she expects to return to her normal life, not end up having coffee with a gorgeous British actor. James Addison is somewhat famous, completely charming, and entirely unavailable.

She thinks he'll forget about her and move on, but he doesn't. In fact, he tracks her down using the ridiculous self-published novella she wrote as a joke and asks her to help him write a screenplay. What starts as a strictly professional collaboration slowly turns into something neither of them planned: late-night phone calls, shared jokes, and becoming each other's favorite person.

Now Dorothy is spending all her time with a celebrity she absolutely should not be crushing on, while trying to focus on her own dating life and ignore the growing tension between them. James has a girlfriend, Dorothy has a maybe-boyfriend, and despite their undeniable chemistry, their timing is completely inconvenient.

But when their friendship starts to feel dangerously close to something more, Dorothy and James have to decide if love is worth rewriting the entire script they thought their lives were following.
