Concrete Dam: A Review of Basic Concepts

A strong wall dam that is created in order to control or change the direction of water across the valley or between two mountains and along the river. Increasing the height of the water by creating a dam can only be for the purpose of controlling or changing the direction of the river water, or storing water behind the dam for agriculture, irrigation and water supply, or even the production of electric energy was the main purpose of creating the dam.
