The research revealed there were human rights violations in the disputes and the violators were some individuals, the asafo groups and some governments. It also revealed that governments do not adhere to the Laws and Principles of Human Rights as issued by the United Nations, though Ghana is a signitory to the laws. Again, governments don't adhere to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana, 1992, the Public Order Act, Act 491 of 1994 and the Chirftancy Act, Act 759 of 2008 in relation to how Chieftancy matter should be handled in Ghana.
