Capture & Liberation

Set in the imaginary medieval kingdom of Athlandia and its surrounding countries, Capture & Liberation follows the adventures of outsider Ruth.

Ruth is an outsider. Daughter of a wise woman and with foreign blood, she lives at the bottom of the social ladder. Ruth doesn't mind; the peasant life is all she knows and all she wants.
However, a chance encounter with the King of Athlandia makes her restless with her own lot and intrigues her about the lives of these lofty nobles - especially when they don't behave as she expects. Then personal tragedies catapult her into a strange relationship with the King, Will. Ruth finds a necklace that is important to him and mistakenly believes he thinks she's stolen it. She goes on the run. In return, Will discovers a close connection to Ruth and tries to find her in order to fulfil a deathbed promise.
Meanwhile, trouble hits the neighbouring Kingdom of Nordmark. Will and his friends set out to aid their allies, unaware that Ruth has hidden herself close at hand amongst his archers. Re-evaluating her notions, Ruth finds that she can't bare to be too far from Will...
