He never liked Sydney, or her relationship with his wife butcouldn't change it. Sydney always thought David was a "weak" man and she definitely wasn't afraid of him. He tried everything possible, includingtrying to turn one of her girls against her, to destroy the crew. But Sydney always stayed two steps ahead of him.
