This new book explaining screw fastening technology will be published for those who wish to study (beginner readers) or research (experienced readers) screw fastening. The contents include, for example, a simple phenomenon in which a tensile force is generated in the bolt shaft and a compressive force of the same magnitude is generated in the fastened object when the bolt is tightened (for beginner readers), and a complex phenomenon in which a bolt undergoes tensile fatigue failure when the amplitude of the tensile load on the fastened object exceeds a certain value (for experienced readers). This book introduces the analysis and prevention methods for each of the various failure phenomena that occur in threaded fasteners (coverage of problems that occur).
