My life on the run starts with murder, followed by fire. A fire that I lit, burning my parents' remains and my childhood home to the ground.

Driving till I can't make it any farther, I find a bed-and-breakfast tucked into a remote valley in the mountains. Unbeknownst to me, it's owned by a pack of shifters. Dreg shifters who have their own agenda...

Something about this place isn't right, I notice that right away, even being the awkward introvert that I am. But I get distracted by my irrational insta-lust to the broody Alpha. I'm also struggling through the pain of my injuries, creating another reason I don't figure out what's going on right away.

Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself... how could I have known mystical things like Dreg shifters exist, let alone figure out that I'm one of them?
