Biscayne Inferno and Other Stories is a hallucinatory blend of apocalyptic noir and Miami mythmaking, where the city itself becomes both crucible and character. In the title novella, Biscayne Inferno, Oscar Fuentes, The Biscayne Poet, plunges readers into a drowned Miami, a surreal landscape of ghost typewriters, floodwaters, and shattered lives. Through visceral, cinematic prose, he crafts a world where survival collides with memory, and every choice echoes with violence, love, and longing.

Alongside Biscayne Inferno, Fuentes delivers a collection of short stories and poems that move from raw urban grit to intimate lyricism, revealing Miami as both paradise and inferno, a place where history, myth, and personal ghosts converge.

For fans of speculative fiction, literary noir, and poetic storytelling, Biscayne Inferno and Other Stories is a vivid, unforgettable descent into a city on fire and underwater, told by one of Miami's most original voices.

PRAISE FOR BISCAYNE INFERNO

"With the verve of an outsider artist's naïve audacity, the tumble-forward verbal dance of an urban Jack Kerouac, and a sense of noir that's all his own, Oscar Fuentes, The Biscayne Poet, has created another wild ride through the mythic territory of South Florida and beyond. Hold tight, Surrealists!"

- Michael Hettich, Author of A Sharper Silence and The Halo of Bees

"With this brilliant selection of short stories and poems, Oscar Fuentes presents a dystopian noir that doubles as a subtle warning against what Miami could become if we let it go quietly into the night. Biscayne Inferno is a haunting must-read."

- Asha Elias, Author of Pink Glass Houses and The Namaste Club

"Biscayne Inferno and Other Stories is a revelation. For years, Oscar Fuentes has been pounding out poetry on his legendary typewriters, mesmerizing audiences with his jazz-infused spoken-word performances and bringing the spirit of the Beats to everything Biscayne. Now, in his new collection of fiction, he once again makes Miami a character-shining a dark light on our city, channeling its stories, and daring us to look away."

- Mitchell Kaplan, Founder and President at Books & Books
