Why does belief in Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) belong to the very foundation of Islam?

Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was truthful, trustworthy, compassionate, a leader, husband, father, and teacher. Yet beyond all these qualities, he was Allah's Messenger.

This article examines why belief in his Prophethood is inseparable from the Kalimah and from the Islamic understanding of Tawheed.
