Barbed Hearts - A Boys' Love WWII Resistance Romance set in Stalag Luft III (Early 1944)

Stalag Luft III, early 1944. Behind barbed wire, watchtowers, and searchlights, Flight Lieutenant Michael "Mick" O'Sullivan learns that captivity has its own geography. Every footstep is counted. Every guard has a pattern. Every man who dreams of freedom must first learn which lines can be crossed.

Jan has already learned that lesson the hard way. A Czech partisan with sharp eyes and little faith in easy kindness, he has survived by trusting almost no one. To the camp's escape network, his knowledge could save lives. To Mick, he is something more dangerous: a man whose silence hides grief, courage, and a longing neither of them can safely name.

As forged documents, hidden maps, and whispered plans draw them into the same conspiracy, suspicion gives way to fragile trust. But in a camp watched by guards, informants, and men who know exactly how to break prisoners, love is not a comfort without cost.

For Mick and Jan, escape is no longer only a matter of distance. It is a question of loyalty, courage, and whether two men can hold on to each other in a world built to keep them apart.
