She should stay away, but when she sees him paraded around in silver handcuffs with little control over his fate, she offers to help him escape. 

Instead of running, he makes a request of her-to take his v!rgin!ty. 

Their tryst quickly becomes something more. Just one bite, one sip of her blood, and her body is yearning for his-a consequence of the venom. But even without it, she finds herself drawn to him. 

When the ringleader of the troupe catches up to them, she must decide whether to go to the auction in his place or hand over the vampire she's already falling for.

Auctioned to the Vampire is a dark fantasy romance (romantasy) novella and prequel to Kissed by a Demon, the first book in The Wild Shadows series. It is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after/happy for now. You do not have to read the Auctioned to the Vampire before reading Kissed by a Demon.
