What's a very tall giraffe to do when it rains?
Nothing on the wide savannah is quite as tall as our giraffe, not even the trees. So when the thunder rolls, there's nowhere to hide. He has tried holding big branches over his head (which would be much easier if he had hands!). All he can do is stand and sigh with his head up in the clouds. Oh, he would REALLY like an umbrella.
Then a cheerful man calls up from below. He has an umbrella hat as wide as can be, and a plan to get it all the way to the top: a climb up a tree, and a hand-off to a proud and rather magnificent Kori Bustard. But when the storm rolls in, someone else ends up soaked, and one giraffe learns that a very special hat is even better when you share it.
A Very Special Hat is a rhyming giraffe picture book for kids ages 3 to 7: a gentle children's book about sharing, kindness and friendship, and a cozy read-aloud for any rainy day.
Inside this book:
For kids who love giraffe books like Giraffes Can't Dance and the gentle animal tales of Beatrix Potter.
