After crash-landing on a planet they named Torven, humans have lived and thrived for thousands of years, unaware there is another species living amongst them. The offspring of Entity and humans, theses Beings are forced both by the humans aware of their existence along with the power they hold and their laws of never using Energy around humans to find their own safe havens on the planet.

Welcome to Sunset Town, a metropolitan area on the planet Torven where things are just a bit different under a Barrier. Where no human is able to claim citizenship or residency, Beings living, working, and experiencing love here are able to use the Energy inside their bodies without fear of harming those unlike them.

This is where Drum calls home. A Being, who hasn't felt the touch of someone outside his family in over 13 years, is currently an Advanced Honors Junior at the local Higher Education campus. Given the high expectations which comes along with his Inheritance, he has made himself indispensable to the Being Communities and the recently established Barrier Towns. Focusing on protecting and enhancing the lives of his people, Drum has left no room for romance, afraid of the repercussions of physical contact. 

Enter Pantu, an Other from a place on Torven which has never existed to those who live outside it. He and his parents escaped and have been on the run for over 4 years from those who would force him back to the feet of the person he most despises in his life. Arriving under a beautiful Dome, Pantu wakes up to experience the world around him has not only changed, but the feelings he's long decarded have come back to add to his confusion. Free of human control, Pantu struggles to find out if he is inside a painted dream or if this is his new reality, all while trying to find himself in an ocean of those like him.
