Excerpt: "e;"e;Well, my dear Gilsey, I rather think I can land him for you,"e; declared Nick Carter, with an odd smile lurking in the corners of his keen, grey eyes. "e;But that will not do, Nick,"e; protested Mr. Raymond Gilsey, with an immediate display of apprehension. "e;Not do, sir?"e; "e;It may not be what I want."e; "e;Not what you want?"e; "e;Not exactly, Nick,"e; and Mr. Raymond Gilsey decisively shook his head.
