Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

The book is about the submarine Nautilus, a large monster suspected to be a narwhal, which is discovered at sea in 1866, and Professor Aronnus and his servant, Conseil, are invited to participate in the hunt. During the chase, they and harpooner Ned Lang have the misfortune of falling overboard onto the monster's spine. They discover that the monster is not some narwhal, but a marvelously constructed submarine. The submarine was secretly built by Nemo on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean, with a sturdy hull that utilizes seawater to generate electricity. Captain Nemo invites Aronnus to make a trip to the bottom of the ocean. They set off from the Pacific Ocean, passing through coral islands, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and seeing many rare plants and animals and strange sights in the sea. Along the way, they also experienced stranding, indigenous siege, fighting with sharks, icebergs, octopus attacks and many other dangerous situations. Finally, when the submarine reached the Norwegian coast, the three left without saying goodbye and returned to his hometown.
