Creative minds in the world of film, television, and advertising have always sought new and innovative ways to attract viewers and etch their work into their visual memory, ensuring it remains in the viewer's mind for a long time. The methods of attraction and ideas have diversified within the limits of the technological advancements available in each era. This book discusses how advertising producers have benefited from the tremendous technological boom and how multimedia, in its broadest sense, has been integrated with the diverse visual effects of this technology to achieve the functional purpose of using these techniques. This is especially important given that television advertising has a limited and short duration, and every shot within the advertisement must have a meaning and a message that reaches the viewer directly without any distraction. The use of modern graphic techniques is primarily aimed at providing functional value within the television advertisement, while also incorporating elements of visual spectacle to enhance the viewing experience and create an aesthetically pleasing viewing experience. However, the element of visual spectacle should not overshadow the functional purpose of the visual effect, as this could lead to viewer distraction and a loss of focus on the advertisement's core message due to dazzling visual elements that do not truly contribute to the advertisement's message. Therefore, the book presents a comparison between some Arab and foreign advertisements in terms of how each uses visual effects in terms of function, as well as in terms of visual spectacle and image aesthetics.
