Restless Small Town

This is a full-length documentary novel reflecting what happened in a small town in northern Jiangsu since the reform and opening up of the last century. Wang Pengsheng, the main character of the book, is a literature lover, but in that tumultuous time, in order to survive and find his own life, he temporarily said goodbye to his literary partner and started to go into business. Through hardships and setbacks, he finally succeeded with tenacity, honesty and the support of his wife. This is a very talented novel, free, rich in content and fluent in language, using a lot of folk language, with the quality of folk originality. The language is lively and playful, the characters are vivid, and the stories are touching. This book does not involve politically sensitive issues, and can be published without reporting.
