Most importantly, it delves into the concept of an ideal state. In this dialogue, Plato, through the voice of Socrates, engages in conversations with others to design a political system that unifies truth, goodness, and beauty, creating an ideal state that embodies justice. Plato's ideal state is the earliest utopia in human history. In his vision, rulers must be philosophers. He believed that existing political systems were flawed and that the true solution for humanity lay in philosophers holding political power. Only true philosophers could save the cities-states from their crises at that time.
