A collection of four short stories, seemingly separate yet subtly linked, tells the tales of the inhabitants of a single island. They gather initially to celebrate something, but then the individual stories of each person unfold. Poverty is their common thread, yet their stories are unique and distinct. One searches for his lost son, another, a disabled man, brandishes a knife, threatening an old man in love with a younger woman, and a couple tries to start anew after the economic crisis that shattered everything. But the difficulties are many, and the challenges even greater. In poetic language and with evocative Greek imagery, the author presents a striking picture of Greece, set against a backdrop of clear skies and a deep blue sea.
