This is a psychological novel, which tells the three-day experience of Thomas Horton as an intern psychologist in a mental hospital. In these three days, the patient he diagnosed was killed by the mail car the next day. Is this an accident or a suicide involving a wrong diagnosis? How would Horton deal with the sudden and tempting behavior of a charming female patient with borderline personality disorder who took off her clothes in conversation therapy? New patient Richard Mobin, a paranoid schizophrenic, would drown birds and think that men in raincoats would murder themselves. It wasn't enough. Horton met another very difficult patient - an anonymous man who had no memory or self-identity. He was found wandering along the highway by the police, collecting and burying some bodies. What is the intention of anonymous' actions? Based on his keen insight, his experience of communication with patients and colleagues, the author vividly depicts the experience and psychological activities of an intern psychologist with humorous writing, surrealist imagination and hints of Oriental philosophy, and puts forward a deep meaning pursuit in combination with the real problems of real mental patients.
