Satan is desperate to take God's place in our lives. Isaiah wrote of Satan s manifesto, describing it as having a foundation of pride. Lucifer wanted exaltation above God s throne, entrusted with the authority to control and speak the governing law to us and to Jesus Christ. But believers know that Satan can never take Christ s place in the lives of humans; he can only manipulate and offer misrepresentations of Jesus. In this book, the author examines our tendency to fall into despair and urges us to remember David, who knew he needed the power of God s Holy Spirit to restore his life.
