introduction to the history of Islamic philosophy

The scholar Sheikh Dr. Mustafa Abd al-Razzaq, a thinker, writer, scholar of the fundamentals of religion and Islamic jurisprudence, and the innovator of Islamic philosophy in the modern era, says: "e;This is an introduction to the history of Islamic philosophy that includes a statement of the disputes of Westerners and Islamists and their approaches to studying Islamic philosophy and its history. Western researchers are as if aiming to extract foreign elements in this philosophy, to return it to a non-Arab or Islamic source, and to reveal its impact in directing Islamic thought. As for Islamic researchers, it is as if they weigh philosophy on the scales of religion. This statement is followed by an explanation of an approach to studying the history of Islamic philosophy that is different from these approaches, as it seeks to return to Islamic rational consideration in its initial naivety and trace its paths throughout the ages and the secrets of its development. This approach is followed by an application and clarification using something similar to a model and example.
