We find portals in perfume, jewellery, photos, ornaments and even in the particular light of an autumn day. People long gone can turn up unexpectedly in a whisper, a touch, a taste, or an echo of the past. When we let go of the illusions of the tenses, eternity bends closer than we might ever have thought. These gathered stories are all reimagined from snippets of actual events, people and places.
