Foreign language teacher learning has gradually developed into an important research area in foreign language teacher education research. The purpose of this book is to sort out the lineage of foreign language teacher learning research at home and abroad, review the cutting-edge research results, and look forward to the future development trend. The book consists of eight chapters. The first three chapters organize the overall lineage, theoretical foundation and methodology of teacher learning research, aiming to lay the ontological, epistemological and methodological foundation of foreign language teacher learning research. Chapters 4 to 7 provide an in-depth discussion of current relevant empirical research, focusing on the themes of foreign language teacher learning outcomes, processes, pathways, and environments, respectively. Chapter 8 provides an outlook on foreign language teacher learning research in terms of the dimensions of theory, research methods and research themes.
