Everything Is Yours

Many of us will eagerly say that we trust God, but our fretful prayers and worried mumblings reflect the truer situation of our hearts. We pray but lay awake at night working through what-if's. We profess belief in God's sovereignty while we simultaneously maneuver and manipulate situations and people in order to achieve the outcome we desire. We say ';God is in control!' But we live as if we bear sole responsibility for circumstances clearly beyond our ability. The self-help ';gospel' that pervades our time, places the burden of managing our whole lives squarely on our shoulders. We wear ourselves down working to answer our own prayers, only to find ourselves overwhelmed by situations beyond our control. God doesn't need our help, He wants our hearts. The Bible calls on us to submit ourselves to God, to become a ';living sacrifice' (Romans 12:1). This is our true worship the Apostle Paul tells us. And this isn't reserved for the super-spiritual. This is the call for all who say they believe in Jesus. It's in this surrender that we discover what it is to live deep into the heart of God. This kind of living changes everything. Kris Camealy knows how hard it is to surrender her whole heart. As a recovering ';bootstrapper', she's had lots of practice learning to open her hands and her heart fully to God. In this book Kris Camealy shares vulnerable stories of practicing surrender in her own life, coupled with biblical accounts of saints who struggled through learning what it meant and what it looked like to surrender their whole hearts to God. Kris Camealy walks alongside the reader in their own journey to giving God their whole heart, encouraging you to see for yourself, how this changes everything.
