In the Moksopaya (also known as the Yogavasistha), an eleventh-century Sanskrit poetic text, the great Vedic philosopher Vasistha counsels his young protege Lord Rama about the ways of the world through sixty-four stories designed to bring Rama from ignorance to wisdom.
