She was born in Japan, adopted by an American couple who served in the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. She had big dreams coming to America with her adopted family. She had childlike faith, that was a secret between God and her little self, that she hoped to find her family who still lives in Japan. Through the difficult times, of prejudice, and growing up without her identity, she coped with her struggles with the gift of writing. She knew that she was a writer the moment she learned to write her name. Her 10th Grade English Teacher walked over to her desk, one day, never spoken to her, except this one time. Mr. Mitchell said, You are a writer, keep on writing and never give up. Those were the most encouraging words she had ever heard. This book is dedicated to Alisa, Jordan, Jenna, Daniel and God.
