Dharma and Dao

Zen points outside the scriptures through koan, shout, bowl, broom, and ordinary mind. China brings the Way into names, roles, rites, family,heart-mind, qi, cultivation, and Daoist nonforcing.The volume does not force Self and no-self, devotion and emptiness, cultivation and effortless action into agreement. It allows each tradition to keep its own grammar while asking what happens when the one who wants to own the path becomes part of the question.Texts, rituals, philosophies, and ordinary gestures remain distinct, but they are read beside one another as disciplines that alter how knowing happens. This is not a catalogue of Eastern beliefs.
