This is Christopher Hind's continuation of his father's diary, which had been concealed since before his birth, chronicling his parents' lives in a society afflicted by terrorism. Thus far, it had been established that his father, Cliff, had been shot. Now, of course, Chris's intrigue was to know how the mind-set of the Hind family would continue. Despite enduring hardships and residing underground amidst numerous atrocities, the Hind family welcomed two young girls into their home. These girls were found alone, famished and unkempt, fleeing after a bomb blast had claimed their parents' lives. In addition to becoming guardians and exhibiting acts of heroism in perilous situations, the Hind family experienced stress and emotional turmoil as they persevered, but to what end.
