Corpus-based Interpretation Studies

The book is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the concepts, nature, categories and functions of corpus translation studies to provide theoretical preparation for subsequent research. The second chapter explains the importance of interpreting corpus construction as a whole as well as the overall design ideas and methods, highlights the difficulty and complexity of interpreting corpus construction, and clarifies the basic principles of corpus design, corpus transcription and annotation. Chapter 3 organizes the overall development of interpreting corpora at home and abroad, and introduces the basic nature, structure and functions of various types of interpreting corpora. Chapters 4 to 6 introduce the construction concepts and technical indexes of CECIC, EPIC and CILC, which are three representative interpreting corpora at home and abroad, explain the construction process of each corpus in detail, and emphasize the special characteristics of each of them in terms of corpus design, corpus selection, annotation technology, function configuration and so on. Chapter 7 explains the ideas and principles of corpus interpreting research in general, highlighting the significance of top-level design for corpus interpreting research. Chapter 8 introduces the teaching application research based on interpreting corpus, highlights the role of interpreting corpus in interpreting teaching and training, explores the new mode of interpreting teaching material development based on corpus, and explains the basic principles, procedures, function configuration and technical support for the development of online shared interpreting corpus platform.
