Blessed to Be a Blessing

When I was a little boy, I became convinced that if the Good News of Jesus Christ is true, then it makes sense to make it the focus of one's whole life. From my perspective, after a lifetime of service to the Church of Jesus Christ, I contend I was right so to live, according to the sense of call God placed on me. "e;For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life"e; (John 3:16). No greater privilege exists than to give one's life to that which is not only true, but filled with life-giving grace, now and always. In this memoir, I have written about experiences, learning, and insights from a life-long leadership journey as a husband, parent, and pastor. Therefore, much of the content emerges from leading in the world of church. I am persuaded that the learning is applicable to other walks of life. I hope the reader will find encouragement along the way. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to share my journey with others, hoping to be a blessing to them. Rick Veenstra
