Arab countries and the greats of Islam

The Prince of Poets, Ahmed Shawqi, is a remarkable poetic talent, one of the most fertile Arabic poets. His poetic production reached more than twenty-three thousand five hundred verses, and this number has not been reached by any ancient or modern Arab poet. Shawqi had a sensitive linguistic sense and a proficient musical instinct in choosing words that were composed together to create a melody that aroused joy and attracted the ears. His poetry had a pure melody and a sweet tone that Arabic had only known to a few of the most powerful poets. In this collection of poetry, he traces the lives of the most prominent men in Islam in the Umayyad, Abbasid, and Fatimid Caliphates, which proves his authentic Arab culture, and his love of Islamic history, as evidenced by his poems, which are not devoid of historical references that only those who are deeply involved in the study of history know.
