The inspiration for these books came from my then 7 year olddaughter, who received a soft toy animal from her great grandmother. To this day, this wonderful creature cannot be classified against any knownspecies. Flopadopalus is a curious creature, highly inquisitive with the abilityto travel using just his thoughts. His travelling companion is called Flux, anold, wise hedgehog who doesn t show his age (think Yoda). The books allfollow the premise that Flopadopalus has an element in his life that he fearsor lacks confidence in. A situation, either in school or elsewhere, inspireshim to imagine a scene. His concentrated thoughts transport him there withhis friend Flux.
