Das Album ist ein Konzertmitschnitt im Hřnefosser Studio mit 40 Gästen. Ketil Bjornstad erinnert sich, dass sowohl das Publikum als auch der Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme seine Spielweise beeinflusste. Das Konzert habe an einem wunderschönen Frühlingstag stattgefunden, an dem der Flieder in voller Blüte stand. Doch gleichzeitig wühlte der Prozess um den Attentäter von Utoya die ganze Nation auf, ebenso die ständige Präsenz dieses Themas in den Medien und immer mehr grausame Details, die ans Tageslicht gelangten. "I had passed by Utřya while driving to the studio, and had been reminded of both the beautiful and the brutal aspects of life. (...). Mostly because of the people listening in the studio that day, this was a concert that I will never forget", so Ketil Bjornstad. Zwei Jahre nach dem Konzert musste das Pettersens Kolonial Lydstudio schließen und der Flügel zum Kauf angeboten werden.
