Wer einfach nur auf eine Fortführung des im Oktober 2004 erschienenen Erfolgs-Albums "Nigredo" hofft, wird nur zum Teil auf seine Kosten kommen. Natürlich bietet auch "MenschFeind" die für Diary Of Dreams so typische Melancholie und Düsternis, jedoch dem Titel getreu setzt die Band auf direkte Nähe, die fast unangenehm einen Arm um den Hörer legt und ihn nicht mehr losläßt! "MenschFeind" ist nicht ruhig, friedlich oder nur mystisch, sondern ein Aufschrei. Wer davon ausgeht, daß es sich bei diesem neuen Werk einfach nur um "Nigredo" B-Ware handelt, der irrt gewaltig. Alle Tracks sind neu und exklusiv nur auf dieser im mehrfach aufklappbaren Digipak erscheinenden CD erhältlich. In gewohnt detailverliebter Arbeitsweise haben Diary Of Dreams hier ein düster-apokalyptisches Werk geschaffen, das mehr als deutlich und gewohnt kritikfreudig die Trilogie um "Nigredo" vorübergehend beendet. Wer Diary eher rhythmisch und subtil aggressiv mag, der sollte dieser CD mehr als nur ein Ohr schenken.
