Gorbokonik

"e;Gorbokonik"e; (or "e;Konik-Gorbokonik"e;) - an extremely popular work of n poet, novelist and playwright PP Ershov (1815 - 1869). This is the first major work of the author, written in 1834, which immediately became a classic of Russian literature. Pushkin praised the tale in Ershov's poems and told him: "e;Now this kind of work can be left to me."e;The main characters are the peasant's son Ivan the Fool and the charming Grasshopper. Peculiar style, folk humor, successful pictures of folk life contributed to the success of the poetic tale. In addition, the text contained preschool social satire, so the tale was liked by adults. Due to its satirical sharpness, after the third edition, Konik-Gorbokonik was banned from publication and was not republished for 13 years.
