I never thought love was in the cards for me...

I had lived as a lone wolf for years and turned my back on love along time ago. My heart had been broken too many times for me to believe it could happen to me.

My sole purpose was to protect my niece from the evil king. She was the rightful heir to the Moon Kingdom.
Now, he's dead and she's queen.
But not all is well.

The king left a dark legacy, including corrupting Dark Moon Academy. The Academy was run more like a prison rather than a school. Anyone who didn't follow his rules was tortured, including the former headmaster, Coletrane Witcher.

His students protested and rebelled, demanding that he'd be released. The crafty king gave them a choice-follow me, or watch your beloved headmaster die.

The students reluctantly agreed, and just like that the king won. Coletrane was freed and banished from the academy. He's bitter and lives like a hermit away from the Moon Kingdom.

My new queen has given me an impossible task-restore Dark Moon Academy. Professors have fled, and parents don't want to send their kids there.

The problem is I haven't lived at the Moon Kingdom for years, so nobody remembers me. In fact, the nobility rarely speaks to me, even though the new queen is my niece.

I need an ace player-someone they would trust again. Someone like Coletrane Witcher.

There's another problem. When I lived at the Moon Kingdom, I had a crush on him, but every time I talk to him, my tongue got tied and I sounded like the village idiot. How am I going to convince him to come back?

And now my wolf is playing havoc with me. She's claiming he's our fated mate. How can this be when he rarely spoke to me? I was just the nerdy girl trying to talk with the campus hero.

It's going to take a Christmas miracle for me to restore Dark Moon Academy and bring back the grumpy headmaster. Defeat isn't in my vocabulary. As long as I don't fall head over heals for the headmaster, I can make this work. Someone just needs to tell my wolf.
