After lifelong friends Tom Wildes and Tim Roe graduate with advanced degrees in archaeology and anthropology, a mysterious lightning strike on a university football field leads to the discovery of ancient alien artifacts buried deep underground. What begins as a strange scientific find quickly spirals into chaos when unexplained attacks, shapeshifting creatures, and a hostile extraterrestrial force emerge with a sinister agenda.

Marked by powerful symbols burned into their bodies, Tom and Tim awaken to extraordinary abilities including control over the elements, superhuman speed and strength, and the power to transform into formidable beasts.
