Phyton programming for kids

Dear family:

Does your son or daughter spend more time in front of a screen than you do trying to program the printer?
Does he or she like robots, video games, computers, bad jokes and talking animals?
Then this book is for him or her! (And, if you flip through it too, you might inadvertently learn something! )

Why this book?

Because programming is no longer just for adults with thick glasses and coffee in their veins.
Today, programming is a new way to play, to create and to think logically.
And yes, you can learn it from a young age, just like you can learn to ride a bike or make slime without getting all wet... well, almost.

What will you find inside?

This book is divided into two parts:

Part One: Programming without fear (with Scratch).

Here the little ones learn what it is to "give orders to a computer".
But don't worry: no complicated code.
We use Scratch, a visual language created by MIT (yes, those brainiacs!) where kids program by dragging and snapping blocks together as if they were LEGO pieces.

With Scratch they can create games, animated stories, characters that dance or talk like ducks.
Everything explained step by step, with a lot of humor and with challenges that look like games. And they are!

Part 2: Python for real (and cool) kids

Once they already understand how programs think, we take a small leap into the real world of coding with Python.
Python is a programming language widely used by companies, scientists and... Smart kids like yours!

But don't panic:
Here, every line of code is explained as if it were a cooking recipe, and the programs are meant to have fun while they learn:
they draw with turtles, talk to robots, make jokes, add, think, invent. And if they make a mistake... No problem! They learn while laughing (yes, even with mistakes).

For what ages?

Recommended for boys and girls from 7-8 years old, and also for brave adults who want to learn together with them.

In short...

This book doesn't turn your child into an engineer (yet),
but it does turn them into a little thinker, creator and digital explorer.
And, hopefully, someone who tomorrow will explain to his grandmother how to connect to WiFi without crying.
