Three thousand years ago, Psyche was a mortal princess cursed by Aphrodite for being too beautiful.

She survived impossible trials, loved a god she could not trust, and was sealed alive beneath a temple-her body preserved in an eternal sleep meant to erase her name from history.

She should have been forgotten.

Instead, an earthquake breaks open her stone coffin in the modern world.

Scientists call her a miracle. Pilgrims call her holy. Governments call her an asset.

But the gods who destroyed her life feel her waking like a wound reopening.

Rescued from dissection and worship alike, Psyche is thrust into a world that has forgotten her suffering-but not the gods who shaped it. One returns with gentleness and quiet devotion: Thanatos, god of Death, who once offered her a life built on choice instead of captivity. The other returns with memory, longing, and regret: Eros, god of Love, whose desire shattered her fate and bound her to centuries of pain.
